Osterbro is a noble place with fancy shops and restaurant, in the North Western part of the city. The district has many mansions from the 20th century. Osterbro is also known for its green character. There is a lot of nature in the district.

Until the end of the 19th century, Osterbros green quarter called “Faelled” served as military exercise ground for the Danish army. In 1908 it was time to create a cosy and romantic park for the hedonistic and pleasure-seeking citizens of Copenhagen.

The park is a very popular place for the people of Copenhagen until today, and the pride of Osterbro.

There are a lot of cultural events, art exhibitions, restaurants, and coffee houses. Some years ago Vesterbro was the dark side of Copenhagen. A lot of crime was part of Vesterbros everyday life. Those times are over now. Today Vesterbro is an interesting place to visit.

The district is full of more exciting attractions. There is a beautiful park, the wonderful sea, and the worth seeing harbour and entertainment district called “Nyhavn”.

Frederiksstaden is no grown district with little alleys. It was planned and arranged during the middle of the 18th century according to French plans.

The Royal character of Frederiksstaden is underlined by fancy shops, noble galleries, and antique souvenirs and furniture stores.

Rebellious teenagers occupied a piece of land which served as military area, after it was left by the Danish army. In the following years Christiania was characterized by a lot of riots between the official state of Denmark, and the unofficial free state of Christiania.

A lot of discussions in the Danish parliament were involved in the question if Christiania should be removed and terminated, or if a free state inside Copenhagen should be accepted. At the end Danish politicans decided to legalize the project.

The free state of Christiania even has its own contracts for the power and water supply.

The north of Christianshavn is known as quite noble. Only rich and wealthy people can afford the high prices for flats, apartments, and houses there.

Many bridges makes it possible, that this island is not even perceived as such, by most of the inhabitants.

Slotsholmen counts as the cradle of the Danish capital, and location of the parliament. The alleys and roads of the district are quite calm and peaceful. Restaurants, bars, and shops of the district are known to be noble. The visitor won’t find crazy shopping madness there.
