Tycho Brahe Planetarium Copenhagen

Category: Sights Copenhagen – admin – 8:29 am

Tycho Brahe is located in Copenhagens district Vesterbro, and the biggest planetarium of Europe. The impressive building, which looks like a giant diagonal sawed off can, was opened in 1989.

The planetarium is dedicated to the Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe, who lived from 1546 to 1601. In 1572 he has discovered a new star.

Tycho Brahe Planetarium delights with a computerized projector and a screen with a surface of 1000 square metres. The giant screen shows the virtual world of the stars and planets of our universe.
