The building of Copenhagens stock exchange market was erected between 1619 and 1640, and had its first function as market hall.
When the construction works were finished, King Christian IV was not very happy about the result. “Too boring”, was his first comment. He commanded to put a monument of a dragon on the roof.
The stock exchange market of Copenhagen is also the residence of the chamber of commerce, and can be found in the centre of the city.
