Helligands Kirke Copenhagen

Category: Church Copenhagen – admin – 8:33 am

Helligands Kirke is a church close to Amagertorv square, but the building is not used as a church anymore. There was a hospital, a library, and today a shop for antiquated books can be found inside Helligands Kirke.

The church is also used as a venue for concerts and cultural events.

Helligands Kirke was the first Danish church with a Dutch carillon. The Dutch carrilon melted, and was destroyed in a fire in 1728.

The erection of Helligands Kirke took place in the 14th century.
