Grabrodretorv Copenhagen

Category: Copenhagen Square – admin – 8:21 am

Grabrodretorv is one of Copenhagens old town most beautiful squares. A very nice character is the calm location of the place. People can relax and start to to daydream.

Sometimes during summer time Grabrodretorv is the venue for theatre plays and live concerts.

The square is surrounded by detailed restored facades and many restaurants. Grabrodretorv has a long history. Already during the 13th century, the place was mentioned in documents. There is a story about crazy monks who lived on todays square. Their wild parties met with disapproval to Copenhagens citizens. At the end the monks had to leave the city, and their houses were destroyed.
