Category: Copenhagen Districts – admin – 6:16 pm

Frederiksstaden is the home of the Royal family, and the location of Copenhagens most famous sight: the sculpture of the mermaid.

The district is full of more exciting attractions. There is a beautiful park, the wonderful sea, and the worth seeing harbour and entertainment district called “Nyhavn”.

Frederiksstaden is no grown district with little alleys. It was planned and arranged during the middle of the 18th century according to French plans.

The Royal character of Frederiksstaden is underlined by fancy shops, noble galleries, and antique souvenirs and furniture stores.
