Christians Kirke is a church in the district of Christianshavn, which was built for the German minority in Copenhagen in 1759.
The most impressing thing are the three-storey loge rows inside the building. These rows were dedicated only to the rich people of the community.
The altar was made of Norwegian marble. As Copenhagens German minority decreased during the middle of the 19th century, the church turned to a Danish one, and canceled the label “German” out of its name.
