Amagertorv Copenhagen

Amagertorv is the name of a former fish market, between the city hall and the Kongens Nytorv, on Copenhagens famous shopping street “Stroget”.

Tourists might be interested in the traditional Danish porcelain. Amagertorv has most of the shops with the biggest assortment.

The centre of Amagertorv is enriched by a wet attraction called “stork fountain”, which was built at the end of the 19th century.

One of the houses around Amagertorv is extraordinary beautiful. It was built in 1616 and has a character of the Dutch renaissance style.
